Delivery Areas

At Millie and Jones, we are committed to delivering your orders with care and efficiency to all Mainland UK addresses. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to offshore domestic regions, including the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Scottish Islands, and Northern Ireland. We apologise for any inconvenience and are always here to help you find the best possible solution.

Order Confirmation

When you place an order with us, you’ll receive a confirmation email right away. To ensure a smooth process, we pre-authorise your payment method but don’t charge you immediately. We then check with our warehouse or suppliers to confirm the availability of your item(s). If everything is ready for dispatch, we process the payment and prepare your order for shipping. In the rare case that an item isn’t available for immediate dispatch, we will promptly remove the pre-authorisation from your card and inform you via email. Rest assured, our team is dedicated to keeping you informed every step of the way.

Delivery Process

We take great care in choosing the fastest, safest, and most reliable delivery methods to bring your order directly to your front door. After processing your payment, we dispatch your items within the delivery timeframe specified at checkout, and you will receive a dispatch notification once your order leaves the warehouse. We carefully select the best courier and delivery method for each order, so you can relax knowing your delivery is in good hands. While we handle the logistics, we’re always here to support you and answer any questions you might have.

Returns policy

Thank You for Shopping at Millie and Jones

Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, we're here to help make things right.

Right to Cancel

You have the flexibility to cancel your order at any time before receiving your item. Simply email us at info@millieandjones.co.uk as soon as possible, and we'll process your cancellation promptly.

You also have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without needing to provide a reason. This 14-day cancellation period starts from the day you, or someone you’ve appointed (excluding the delivery carrier), take physical possession of the goods. To cancel, please email us at info@millieandjones.co.uk before the 14-day period ends.

If the 14-day cancellation window has passed, you may still be able to return your item; however, additional charges may apply. For further assistance, please contact us at info@millieandjones.co.uk. Please note that these terms do not restrict your statutory right to cancel within the initial 14-day period.

For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on mattresses if they have been removed from their original packaging unless they are faulty.

Effects of Cancellation

If you cancel within the 14-day period, we will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (excluding any extra costs if you selected a delivery method other than our least expensive standard option). We may deduct from your refund if there is a reduction in the value of the goods, such as items removed from the packaging or unwrapped mattresses.

Refunds will be processed promptly, no later than:

  • 14 days after we receive the returned goods in their original condition,
  • 14 days after you provide proof of returning the goods (if earlier), or
  • 14 days after you inform us of your decision to cancel (if no goods were supplied).

Refunds will be made using the original payment method, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise, and no fees will be charged for the refund process. Please note, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods.

You are responsible for returning the goods to us without undue delay and within 14 days from notifying us of your cancellation. You will need to bear the direct cost of returning the items, and you are liable for any reduction in the goods' value due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functionality.

Bed Buying Guide

In a world filled with endless options, choosing the right bed for your child can feel overwhelming. With factors like bed height, safety features, and durability to consider, it’s easy to get lost in the details. But don’t worry—Millie & Jones are here to help! Our expert tips will guide you through the process, so you can find the perfect bed with confidence.

One Size Doesn't Fit All

There’s no set rule for when your child should transition from a cot to a full bed, but it generally happens between 18 months and three years old. The key factor to consider is safety, especially for younger children who tend to move around a lot in their sleep. Take your child’s readiness and comfort into account, and make the switch when it feels right for your family.

Safety is Key

Safety should be your top priority when choosing a bed for your child. For toddlers, it’s essential to choose a bed with safety rails on both sides, even if the bed is low to the ground, as toddlers are prone to wriggling during the night. Additionally, consider the mattress height; we recommend a maximum mattress depth of 16 centimetres for beds that are high off the ground. This added precaution helps prevent your child from rolling over the safety rails.

Children are naturally active, so it’s wise to select a bed with rounded corners and flat drawer handles to avoid painful bumps and bruises. For beds with ladders, opt for wide steps to give your child extra stability and confidence when climbing in and out of bed.

Durability

Kids can be tough on their furniture, so durability is a key factor. Look for beds made from sturdy materials like wood or metal, which can withstand daily wear and tear. Also, consider the finish of the bed; choosing one that’s easy to wipe clean will help keep it looking fresh despite grubby little fingers.

Storage Solutions

If your child’s room is on the smaller side or if storage is a priority, consider a bed with built-in storage options. Beds with drawers underneath or integrated shelving can help keep toys, books, and clothes neatly organised. For older kids and teens, consider a bed with ample drawer space and a pull-out desk—perfect for tackling homework and staying organised.

Cost and Adaptability

Investing in a bed that adapts as your child grows can be a smart financial decision. Many of our beds are designed to grow with your child, like bunk beds that can be split into two single beds when the time comes for siblings to have their own space. Choosing versatile options like these ensures that your purchase remains valuable over the years.
